Soci-Tables

Soci-Tables By Phil Pauley

Soci-Tables are a totally unique social experience in group dinning. Similar to a sushi bar, food travels around the table on a conveyor. However, unlike a sushi bar, so do the seats and footrests. This provides the user with a uniquely different view of the dinning table.

Guests move slowly around the table, with their place setting, and as such spend a small amount of time looking directly at each and every other guest on the table.

No longer will we be forced to talk to just the people in our immediate surroundings, but we will be able to socialise with all members at the party throughout the evening!

The Soci-Table uses a conveyor system, similar to airport baggage conveyors to move the chair, place setting and your feet around the table. The speed of the movement can also be modified to suit any social gathering, be it; an evening with work colleagues, friends out for dinner, a family gathering, or perhaps even speed dating!

The Soci-Tables are available in several size to suit party’s of 8, 10, 12, 14, or 16, providing options for almost any situation, from large restaurants to your home. They are also available in any finish to suit your decor, from varnished mahogany, to black vinyl.

The Soci-Tables were designed by internationally recognised industrial designer Phil Pauley (www.philpauley.com) who has created many other forward thinking designs, such a flying motorcycle (Bullet), underwater habitats (Sub Biosphere2) and environmentally friendly energy generation (Marine Solar Cells).

The visualisations were produced by PAULEY (www.pauley.co.uk)
