When snowed in by snowstorm Nemo, Brian Maffitt took advantage of the raging flurry of snowflakes to create a light show in his backyard.
Using a film projector, he projected a movie onto the storm, watching in awe as the flakes displayed light and color, morphing and shifting as the wind swirled them around and the scenes changed. The result was a vivid display of film confetti, as though Maffitt took a handful of cinematic fairy dust and threw it out into the wild snowstorm. The dark night sky provided the perfect backdrop for the glowing ethereal lights, creating a surreal multimedia experience that combines the force of natural elements with the moving pictures.
