Meatiply Debuted Asia’s First Cultivated Smoked Duck Breast

Singapore-based cultivated meat start-up Meatiply recently debuted the first smoked duck breast meat in Asia using cells and plant-based ingredients. Thanks to its makeup of multiple cell types, including muscle and fat, the product closely resembles the taste and texture of conventional meat. And since these prototypes are structured, they will help with offering a wider range of products, as opposed to a mince only.

The innovative food-tech start-up also revealed two other structured meat prototypes: kampong chicken yakitori and chicken katsu bites. "To date, we have developed prototypes with three different species, with at least two more in the pipeline. These three prototypes are just the beginning," said Dr. Jason Chua, Chief Scientific Officer & Co-founder of Meatiply.
