The Smarties Orange Block is Made with Orange Chocolate

The Smarties orange block chocolate bar is being launched in the UK and Ireland by the brand to offer consumers a textural treat that will perfectly satisfy their sweet tooth. The bar is compromised of orange chocolate that has been paired with orange mini Smarties and is being launched alongside a new Smarties milk chocolate 90 gram bar. The products are being launched in new paper packaging that was announced earlier this year and will see the brand shifting completely to paper wrap by April 2021.

Global Head of Confectionery at Nestlé Alexander von Maillot spoke on the recyclable packaging for the Smarties orange block chocolate bar saying, "Moving Smarties packaging to recyclable paper is one of our key sustainable packaging initiatives in the confectionery category. It is a further step in realising Nestlé’s ambition to make all of our packaging recyclable or reusable by 2025 and to reduce our use of virgin plastics by one third in the same period."
