The Smart 2 is an innovative new smart pistol, developed by none other than San Diego, California-based startup Safety First Arms, that is designed to solve the security problems that arise when a responsible individual's weapon ends up in the wrong hands if it gets stolen or misplaced.
To solve this problem, this particular smart pistol comes equipped with an embedded PIN pad that users have to use to enter in the programmed PIN to access the weapon and make use of it. The PIN pad also happens to come fully equipped with an anti-theft alarm that is designed to discourage theft, prevent tampering and secure against potentially dangerous unauthorized use.
Considering the spate of gun violence in recent times, this smart pistol is an intelligent and useful invention that could be used to add a layer of security to firearms.
