The Smart Mirrors Show Off Uniqlo's Heattech Thermal Line in Action

This isn't the first time we have seen smart mirrors in fitting rooms, but these ones are heat-sensitive. Created by Alexander Svensson for Japanese fashion brand Uniqlo, the Heattech Mirror is supposed to help show off their Autumn/Winter 2015 collection. More specifically, the mirror is designed to show of their thermal items.

Despite the very thin appearance of Uniqlo's Heattech line, the thermal line stores body heat in air pockets. The smart mirrors are supposed to counteract any disbelief on the part of customers by enabling them to see the technology in action. The mirrors are connected to a heat-sensitive camera as well as an RFID chip located in the item's security tag.

This is just one example of how retailers can introduce modern technology to improve the shopping experience for consumers.
