The app does this by turning long the long wait times between flights into mini adventures. It hooks travelers up with a variety of perks, including discounted airport fare, hotel rooms that can be booked by the hour and information on city tours.
In addition to connecting travelers with things to do, discounts and places to stay, the app also provides airport information. The Smart Layover app has information on over 140 airports and cities, letting you know everything from security wait times to what stores and restaurants are in each terminal. The Smart Layover app is available now for iOS, Android and Blackberry and is free to download.
