North, formerly Thamlic Labs, has finally opened its Focals smart glasses stores in Brooklyn, New York and Toronto, Ontario. These two locations are currently the only places buyers can finalize their North smart glasses order. The stores come stocked with North's Focal smart glasses, which feature a built-in holographic display that showcases information from a user's phone such as messages, weather forecasts, and turn-by-turn directions.
The smart glasses stores come designed with a futuristic and minimalist theme, and serve as a pickup and fitting location as well as a display room for new buyers. Several dedicated "immerse stations" are set-up through the store and are meant to give a glimpse of life inside a holographically enhanced world.
North does intend on opening more smart glasses stores but will not end its online sales model either.
