The Hermes Slim d’Hermes GMT Edition is Stylish and Built of Rare Metals

Hermes has been pushing the boundaries of its brand with recent releases and the Slim d’Hermes GMT edition is no exception to this rule. The Slim d'Hermes could be considered the flagship timepiece for Hermes and the new GMT edition sees the brand straying away from its equestrian roots to something more focused on jet setters. The Slim d’Hermes GMT edition features a modest 39.5mm and is just 9.48mm thick. The case is comprised of palladium, a rare metal that looks like platinum but is lighter and harder to obtain. The case is water-resistant up to 30m and comes with a matte graphite alligator strap with blue stitching accents.

The dial features a unique slate color with a sunburst chapter ring. At the 10 o'clock position is a silver GMT counter, and at the 6 o'clock position users will find a guilloche center. The entire movement of the watch is powered by a micro-rotor, that beats at 3Hz and has a power reserve of 42 hours. The front panel is sapphire and the entire piece is dressed with polished screw heads and hand-chamfered bridges.
