Sleep Number ComfortNext Offers Enhanced Support & Pressure Relief

The Sleep Number ComfortNext Collection builds on the ComfortMode Collection and introduces a trio of all-new beds, two with Sleep Number’s first Tri‑Brid design. With a combination of micro coils, foam and air, ComfortNext offers enhanced layers and support for pressure relief, and as sleepers' needs evolve, there's app-controlled smart technology that accommodates them. The all-new mattresses include the ComfortNext, ComfortNext Lux, and ComfortNext Ultra for extra shoulder, knee, hip and lower back support.

Sleep Number announced its largest product reset in nearly a decade: a new portfolio with three Collections—ComfortMode, ComfortNext and Climate—featuring a total of seven beds, including five new options. The full lineup and bases are available starting March 23rd, at Sleep Number stores and online, and all Sleep Number mattresses include a 100-night trial and a 10-year limited warranty.

Trend Themes

  1. Tri-brid Hybrid Mattresses — Combination of micro coils, foam and air layers creates multi-material cores that enable differentiated comfort and durability profiles for varied sleeper anatomies.
  2. App-controlled Sleep Personalization — On-mattress connectivity and mobile controls generate continuous sleep data streams that can tailor firmness, pressure relief and climate settings to individual preferences over time.
  3. Targeted Pressure-relief Zoning — Enhanced support in shoulder, hip, knee and lower-back zones reflects a move toward anatomically specific pressure management to address pain and mobility-related sleep issues.

Industry Implications

  1. Consumer Sleep Technology — Integration of sensors and smart actuators into bedding products produces opportunities for subscription analytics, remote diagnostics and ecosystem tie-ins with wellness platforms.
  2. Healthcare and Physical Therapy — Anatomically zoned support and adaptive firmness data create potential for clinically informed sleep interventions and postural rehabilitation monitoring.
  3. Hospitality and Sleep-focused Accommodations — Hotels and specialty lodging can leverage customizable mattress profiles and comfort trials to differentiate guest experience through personalized in-room sleep environments.
