Hollow Shell-Like Furniture

This Sleek Furniture Uses a Conch Aesthetic

This super sleek furniture set uses the term "less is more" and absolutely runs with it. By taking out some of the material, the furniture gives off a hollow feel that is hard to replicate.

Eugeni Quitllet is known for some pretty outlandish furniture designs and while this one, entitled the BUM BUM furniture set wouldn't fall under the umbrella of outlandish, it definitely is different. The pieces are equal parts there and not there as they seem to be completely carved out and left hollow.

The pieces are supposed to take cues from conches that one would find on the beach. The set itself won't make you feel particularly summery or beachy, but it's still an incredibly sleek piece of contemporary furniture worth taking a look at.Photo Credits: designboom, eugeniquitllet
