Six Tables on Water by Gaetano Pesce is Exquisitely Inspired by Nature

From afar, the pieces in the Six Tables on Water series appear to be inspired by nature, but in an abstractly organic way. Upon closer inspection, it becomes immediately evident that a lot more thought and time was put into each table. Forming stunning dioramic scenes, they are more works of art than pieces of furniture.

Created by Italian designer Gaetano Pesce, Six Tables on Water miniaturizes such watery expanses as oceans, lagoons and even puddles. Made out of rigid polyurethane foam, PVC and epoxy resin, the exquisite pieces are the ultimate toy for both children and adults. Interestingly enough, the riverbanks, cliffs, trees and other details are removable.

Six Tables on Water is currently on display at the David Gill gallery.
