The Six Harbors Brewing Company's Brew Dogs Deliver Pickup Beer Orders

Though closed due to coronavirus restrictions, Six Harbors Brewing Company in Long Island, New York, recently found a clever way to deliver its beers during the pandemic: Brew Dogs.

When the COVID-19 pandemic began, the Six Harbors Brewing Company was forced to close its business to the public. However, the brewery was able to continue offering delivery and curbside pickup. To make the pickup process easier and help customers maintain social distancing rules, Six Harbors Brewing Company outfitted its dogs Buddy and Barley with four-pack harnesses to deliver the beer. This not only gives customers a fun way to pick up their beer orders, but it also gives the golden retrievers a way to keep in touch with their human friends. As co-owner Karen Heuwetter explained in an interview: "When they go out and make people smile, I think people really like that. In fact, people need that these days, so when they put a smile on people’s faces they’re doing their job—which, by nature, is easy for them."
