Sitskie Furniture Creates a Seat that Molds to People's Bodies

Imagine a seat that was as forgiving as Mother Theresa; that's exactly what Sitskie Furniture designed. It's surface is so forgiving, it molds to the sitter's individual body. This is made possible through the use of thin slats strung together. Although Sitskie Furniture made the bench out of FSC-certified solid domestic hardwood, it could easily be compared to the comfort of a cushioned seat.

Part of Sitskie Furniture's Block collection, each bench is handmade in Los Angeles, California. Contemporist writes that the purpose of the line "is to give users a soft comfortable experience, as well as keeping the benefits of a solid surface, like durability and cleanliness." It will be interesting to see more furniture like this pop up in stores.
