These Silent Film Shorts Use Charming Cartoons for Marketing

Rather than relying on slick brochures for their marketing purposes, one travel site decided to use an old medium in an engaging way with these silent film shorts. Fathom in collaboration with Qantas Airways produced four silent animations to advertise their services.

Conceived by Pavia Rosati, The Adventures of Alvie and Joey take a "good idea, bad idea" approach when showcasing concerns many have when it comes to air travel -- especially on long flights like New York to Australia. The animated silent film shorts follow Joey the monkey as he has a fabulous time down under as well as purple sad sack Alvie who runs into a number of misfortunes (including getting trampled outside of the Colosseum in Rome).
