The Shenu: Hydrolemic System is a conceptual, in-body hydration system designed for 100 years in the future. The system was created by Tokyo-based designers Takram. Takram was challenged to design a water bottle for the future, but they instead decided to design a way to help humans conserve water.

It's a good thing that Takram strayed slightly from the task given to them, because the Shenu: Hydrolemic System is like nothing ever designed before. The system works using several different inserts. The first is a nasal insert that helps to retain moisture lost during breathing. The second is a collar that goes around the neck to help lower core heat. Finally, there are inserts designed to recapture waste water lost during urination and defecation. The Shenu system may seem a bit excessive, but it's a thought-provoking design that makes you wonder as to what life will really be like in 100 years.
