Hasbro works in collaboration with progressive 3D printing brand Formlabs on the latest Selfie Series that will allow fans to customize their own action figure that stars themselves. To do so, fans will download the Hasbro Pulse app and scan their face. They will then choose their own figure and customize their personal characters by choosing the hairstyle and more. The current options of characters include those from Marvel, Star Wars, Power Rangers, G.I. Joe, and Ghostbusters.
Speaking about the new project, Max Lobovdky, Formlab's CEO and co-founder stated that 3D printing has long been viewed as a prototyping tool, but the Hasbro Selfie Series personalization platform demonstrates that Formlabs enables end-product manufacturing at scale.
