Tim Cotterill's Self-Made Road Rocket Rides Like a Rocket

Tim Cotterill's self-made 'Road Rocket' is a unique trike that really rides like a rocket. This five meter long, monster-sized trike has a maximum speed of 200 mph and weighs 1225kg.

Cotterill sketched the design for his self-made 'Road Rocket' 30 years ago. The work began in 2006 with the help of bike makers The Blastolene Brothers, and it took 23 attempts by the engineers to come up with a workable steering mechanism before Cotterill's dream became a reality. The self-made Road Rocket is so fast that it has a built-in parachute to slow down the speed.
