Dark Skincare Databases

Vaseline's See My Skin Searches for Condititions on Skin of Color

As part of its Equitable Skincare for All Program, Vaseline launched the See My Skin database with HUED and VisualDx with the aim of improving skin healthcare outcomes for people of color. Research published by the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology found "that less than 6% of image-based search results show conditions on skin of color," and this new database stands out as the first of its kind to search for conditions on skin of color. As such, it's a valuable resource that connects patients with dermatologists who are able to understand their unique skincare needs.

To kick off this launch, Vaseline is making over its most recognizable product with limited-edition Vaseline Healing Jelly artwork and QR codes that direct people to resources, including the innovative and inclusive See My Skin platform.
