The initial lineup comprises the UltiMaker S6 Secure and S8 Secure, both engineered for deployment across land, sea, and air operations while adhering to modern defense IT standards. Each model operates on an air-gapped, USB-only workflow without Wi-Fi connectivity, external cameras, or support for unverified third-party devices. Security measures include factory-flashed, tamper-resistant firmware, encrypted file handling, hardware-sealed components, and complete elimination of cloud dependencies to mitigate potential vulnerabilities in sensitive operational contexts.
Both Secure Line printers feature rugged, compact form factors designed to function reliably in extreme and temperate conditions. They leverage UltiMaker’s Cheetah motion planner, high-flow print cores, and an enhanced feeder system to achieve up to four times the productivity of previous models. Multi-material printing capabilities extend compatibility to a range of engineering-grade materials available through the UltiMaker Marketplace. Manufactured in limited batches at UltiMaker’s Zaltbommel facility under European quality and compliance standards, the S6 Secure and S8 Secure are now available to qualified defense and aerospace organizations, each including a two-year UltiMakerCare service package.
