Second Life by Parade Turns Underwear into Furniture & Bedding

Second Life by Parade is a first-of-its-kind national recycling program through TerraCycle and it aims to category’s end-of-life problem by repurposing used underwear. This initiative helps customers reduce their carbon footprint and divert unwanted underwear from the landfill by allowing them to request a complimentary package with a biodegradable bag and a prepaid shipping label.

Any brand of underwear can be recycled through the program and Parade recommends that shoppers send back as many pairs of underwear that will fit in the package, and in return, they will receive a 20% Parade credit. This underwear recycling program repurposes fabrics, without the use of virgin materials, to create new products such as insulation, furniture and bedding.
