Palate-Cleansing Beverages

SanTasti

SanTasti is an innovative new beverage that was born right here in California's sunny Central Coast on the campus of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Wine is a big deal here, and two enology and viticulture alumni developed SanTasti to effectively cleanse wine tasters' palates.

Every food we eat and beverage we drink inevitably leaves a touch of lingering flavor in your mouth. This poses a problem for wine tasters and other gourmands who rely on their palate to make a living. Water is commonly used as a palate cleanser due to its neutral taste, but it does a poor job to rid your mouth of stronger flavors.

According to their website, Andrew Macaluso and Nicole Chamberlain's SanTasti is meant to moderate acidity, sweetness and astringency--and do so using only natural ingredients.
