Daniel Arsham Celebrates 2019 with an Updated Piece from 2017

Daniel Arsham has gained quite some traction of recent and the latest release by the celebrated designer comes in the form of a sand circle. Available to consumers on January 14th, this sculpture is limited edition at just 500 pieces.

The circular object is filled with quartz and features "two suspended planets for the tiny sandlike minerals to flow against. The effect is ethereal. Daniel Arsham's sand circle is painted pink and explores "the idea of erosion and decay" -- which is surely a recurring theme in the designer's work.

Exploring the constraints and flow of time, the limited edition piece has a predecessor from 2017 "which was rendered in a clean white and blue finish."
