The Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone has finally been revealed worldwide with its official specs. It has some new features that will be no surprise to many, but still worth the upgrade. This Galaxy S5 is water and dust resistant with full protection for up to 30 minutes when dropped about three feet down. It comes in a variety of enticing colors from copper, electric blue, white and charcoal.
The anticipated fingerprint scanner and heart rate sensor are also new components that define its usability. The sensor cleverly integrates with the camera's LED flash and the fingerprint scanner is embedded within the home button. It also comes packed with Android 4.4 KitKat within a 5.1 inch screen that is slightly larger than the previous S4 model. Its 16-megapixel rear-facing camera and 2-megapixel sensor on the front also show a great improvement. Samsung also cuts back on its own apps to give you more room along with a 20% more battery life. The Samsung Galaxy S5 will be available in stores on April 11 in over 150 countries.
