Sally Beauty's Vegan Pledge Will Account for 80% of Products

Beauty retailer Sally Beauty recently announced an ambitious vegan pledge that aims to account for 80% of its brand offerings by the end of the 2021 fiscal year.

While known for its versatile and affordable product range, Sally Beauty is looking to transform its brand with clean products and a more sustainable ethos -- a decision inspired by the growing consumer demand for clean beauty offerings at an accessible price point.

"Our customer base wants to see a more environmentally-friendly Sally, and we’re proud of the plan we’ve developed to get us there," said Aaron Alt, President of Sally Beauty Supply about the pledge. The pledge is part of the company's broader SBH Going Green initiative which has already resulted in 50 percent of products under the brand's private label being vegan.
