Featuring a range of 300 items, including snacks and personal care products, Carrefour's sail-through supermarket is purpose-built to serve yachts and jet-skis. Known as Bites and More by the Shore, the floating supermarket will launch in Dubai and will serve customers six days a week. The supermarket will obviously be made available to other ships at sea, but will also be accessible to customers on Kite Beach, Jumeirah Public Beach, and Al Sufouh Beach.
Aquatic patrons visiting the sail-through supermarket will be able to order directly at the Bites and More's window and can pay and collect their goods right by the vessel. Larger vessels will have to place their orders by phone, or an app, with delivery promised in under 45 minutes.
The design of the vessel was handled by Aquatic Architects Design Studio (AADS) and was built with an eco-friendly focus.
