Cloud-Connected Scooters

The S340 is the First Smart Scooter Developed In India

The S340 is a smart scooter, developed by Bangalore, India-based startup Ather Energy, that is the country's first vehicle of its kind.

This smart scooter is powered by a lithium ion battery pack that is capable of generating a top speed of 72 km/h and a range of 60 km per charge. Interestingly, this battery pack makes use of the 18650 cell format more closely associated with the Tesla Model S electric scooter. The vehicle is equipped with a touchscreen dashboard that integrates cloud data to enable full customization of the rider experience, working in conjunction with an app that is set to be developed soon.

The S340 proves that there is plenty of automotive innovation outside Silicon Valley, with electric commuting and cloud-based automotive interfaces gaining popularity around the world.
