RunScribe is a gadget that, when attached to your shoe, can give you a wide range of data by tracking your feet movement while you run. Unlike other devices that only track the most basic stats such as steps taken, distance and speed, the runScribe gathers information on 13 different metrics. This is made possible by the presence of a small 9-axis sensor.
The runScribe measures pace, impact Gs, braking Gs, pronation excursion and pronation velocity among other detailed metrics. By providing information on these different details, users can access a comprehensive statistical picture that allows them better understand their stride and make changes to improve performance. RunScribe allows users to view their data through visualization tools.
The device weighs only 15 grams and can be attached to shoes by a clip or adhesive. Data is stored locally on the gadget and automatically uploaded via Bluetooth to iOS or Android devices.
