Video Game-Inspired Sneakers

SEGA and PUMA Rework the RS-0 Sneaker with Sonic and Dr. Eggman

PUMA officially introduced its new RS-0 footwear iteration created in collaboration with SEGA as a part of the brand's revival of its 80s Running System. The latest collaboration nods to the classic video game franchise, as the models are emphasized with co-branding details and packaged in a unique box inspired by the game's signature Green Hill Zone. The new RS-0 sneakers deliver two new styles -- one that boasts motifs of Sonic the Hedgehog on the blue colorway, and the other of Dr Eggman on the red colorway.

The uppers are constructed from textured suede materials to recall the fur of Sonic, and red outsole details to resemble his shoes. The ends of the laces are detailed with metallic gold rings to correlate with the classic gold rings collected in the video game. The midsoles and insoles take on a checkered pattern with grass prints on the heel to again, paying homage to the Green Hill Zone. The outsoles are comprised of translucent rubber and finished in red with the Sonic logo printed beneath.
