Chanel Unveils the 'Rouge Allure Velvet' Lipstick Collection

Luxury fashion house Chanel introduces its newest beauty line, the ‘Rouge Allure Velvet,’ a new lipstick line centered around the color red. The line features the ‘Libre 62,’ ‘Abstrait 69,’ ‘La Favorite 43,’ ‘Rouge Chanel 56,’ ‘Rouge Feu 57,’ and ‘Rouge Vie 58.’ Matte and bright finishes are combined in the improved Rouge Velvet formula. It provides a rich color payoff and a durable finish that lasts for hours at a time.

Pearly pigments added to the composition give each lipstick a silky smooth finish, allowing it to glide on the lips smoothly and without hitches. The ‘Rouge Allure Velvet’ collection was launched on 13 January and is now available in global travel retail.

The line is said to pay homage to Gabrielle Chanel's 1942 invention of the original red lipstick. Consisting of 20 unique shades, each lipstick contains castor oil and shea butter for long-lasting moisture.
