Alexius' 'Romantically Apocalyptic' is a Funny Armageddon Read

The Russian-Canadian illustrator Vitaly Alexius has produced a series of hilarious armageddon-themed comics under the name 'Romantically Apocalyptic.'

In contrast to many post-apocalypse stories which deal with the harsher issues of nuclear warfare and all out devastation, Alexius' adaptation is entirely humorous, and provides a lighter approach to the frequently referenced phenomenon.

The Romantically Apocalyptic comic strips feature a man clad in a rubber trench coast and full on gas mask, the exact attire one would imagine suits a cataclysmic era. And yet, despite the predictable garb, the story's protagonist is found chasing women, attacking skeletons, and posing in Titanic-like stances. A quick glance at the pages will reveal that this is not your average decimation piece.

For the sci-fi lover who can appreciate a great punch line, the Romantically Apocalytpic series will prove to be an excellent read.
