Samsung Has Publicly Signed a Patent on a New 'Rollable' Smartwatch

A new Samsung patent for a rollable smartwatch design was discovered by researchers at 'Lets Go Digital.' This patent has sketches that show a watch with not only a size-scalable wristband but a 'rollable' screen display as well. The screen on this watch blueprint has two positions. The first is a traditional circle-shaped position, and the second is a more elongated oval position.

To transfer the watch from one position to the next, there is a lock on the side of the watch that, when pressed, allows parts of the screen to be 'rolled' out, creating a longer screen. Currently, it is not known how the display will seamlessly transfer from one size to the next without having a small barrier or visible line going across the screen where the crease was folded.
