Rode Has Launched a New Gamer-Focused Audio Software and Two Microphones

Rode has added a new division dedicated to audio equipment to its operations, aiming to produce tech-forward products that are marketed toward gamers and streamers. Dubbed ‘Rode X,’ the lineup features two microphones and a virtual mixing solution called ‘Unify.’

‘Unify’ allows users to route and mix up to four USB microphones and six audio sources. This allows streamers to control multiple microphones or audio sources without having to unplug or rewire their setup. Users can remove background noise, improve sound quality, and take advantage of an array of filters.

The ‘XDM-100’ and the ‘Rode X XCM-50’ arrive along with the software, providing users with a shock mount, pop filter, and a black and red color scheme. Both microphones boast a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz and can be used on macOS 10.12, as well as Windows 10. Additional features can be found online at the Rode website.
