Theft-Proof Backpacks

The RiutBag Has No Zips On Its Outer Shell

The RiutBag is a beautifully designed backpack -- designed by Sarah Giblin -- that is designed to discourage thieves and backpack-pickers. The problem with regular backpacks is that when you wear them, the zippers are out of sight and completely exposed. To combat this flaw, the RiutBag was designed with no outer shell zips.

All the storage access points in the RiutBag are situated against the wearer's back, making it extremely difficult for thieves to snatch and run without being noticed. The bag is also waterproof and constructed from foam-lined Cordura and Kevlar.

Giblin has taken to Kickstarter to raise funds for production of her innovative creation. The cheapest pledge level available is $70, which will get you set up with a unit in May 2015 if the campaign meets its fundraising target. If you don't want to wait that long, you can pledge $160 for February delivery.
