Comfort-Focused Autonomous Cars

The Rinspeed XchangeE Imagines a Stress-Free Commute

If you've ever wondered what it might be like to ride around in an autonomous car of the future, then look no further than the Rinspeed XchangE. Rinspeed is known for its odd concept cars, but the XchangE is, surprisingly, not as strange as some of the company's most recent concepts. This autonomous car focuses on the rider's experience as opposed to the technology behind said experience. The cabin of the Rinspeed XchangE is equipped with seats that are much like those found in the first class airplane cabins.

In addition to seats that allow you to lay almost flat, the Rinspeed XchangE also features a steering wheel that can be moved to the center of the dashboard to provide more space. Should you not want to lay down or swivel your seat to talk to those in the back, the Rinspeed XchangE also comes with a multimedia entertainment center. Rinspeed is planning on showing off its concept come the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
