Cuddly Cartoon-Inspired Furniture

The Rilakkuma Sofa is as Comfy as it is Cute

A furniture maker in Japan by the name of Okawa Kagu has created this adorable Rilakkuma sofa based on the popular Japanese cartoon character.

Created back in 2003, Rilakkuma was – and still is – a popular character in Japan that gained prominence via a series of picture books and toys. Rilakkuma – a combination of the word "relax" (rilak) and "bear" (kuma) – lives up to its name, as the sofa features soft cushions and incredibly enough, squeezable ears. The sofa is handmade and prominently displays the face of the cute bear with a lovely shade of brown for the body and some small touches of yellow around the ears.

But with a hefty price tag of 197,400 yen or $1,890, the Rilakkuma sofa is for those who consider themselves to be true die hard fans of the character.
