Death-Fated Portraits

'Right Before I Die' Depicts People Facing Death with Acceptance

Photographer Andrew George captured portrait-styled photos of 20 people who are facing death for series titled 'Right Before I Die.' The solemn series sparks an array of sad emotions from the viewer, but the people actually featured in the photos are calm and accepting of their fates.

George embarked on this photography journey, after witnessing many different emotional states at his friend's mother's funeral. Upon looking at all the people in procession, he wondered what type of impressions the woman left on them.

The series of portraits are in homage to the remarkable strength that people can conjure up in times of weakness. The photos perfectly depict the inner strength people have, even though their bodies say otherwise. Each portrait is also accompanied with short excerpts about life, love, family and friends.
