Pasta-Shaped Lamps

Mentsen's Rigatoni Series is Inspired by the Pasta Varietal

Pasta is unequivocally the best thing in the world, and Mentsen, a British design studio, has given the food staple the reverence it deserves with the new Rigatoni series. The pendant lamps have shades inspired by the tubed pasta variety from which they take their name, with a ridged, hollow, cylindrical form that's immediately reminiscent of Sunday nights at Nonna's.

The Rigatoni series consists of two different lamp shades, one of which is a longer, narrower cylinder while the other is broader and shorter. Both these styles come in a selection of two different color options. Those colors make use of the natural earthy tone of the copper from which the shade is composed, adding a pleasing navy blue to one option. The lamps are designed to be hung in a cluster, just like a bowl of pasta.
