Miss Sixty Fall 2008

In a not so ironic twist, Italian design house, Miss Sixty channeled the 1960s with a very funky Fall 2008 collection. These were no fashions for the sartorially timid.

Showing on the third day of New York Fashion Week, was a stunning collection full of psychedelic colours loved by fashion journalists and buyers as well as VIPs and celebs like Anne Hathaway, Chloe Sevigny, Ashley Olsen and Milla Jovovich who were all seated in the front row.

Wild prints abounded. Patterned tights with multicolored zig-zags were paired with purple velvet shorts, flowing striped bell sleeved blouses and black ladylike hats. Another outfit featured bell bottom jeans and a bright yellow floppy beret hat.

Transitional pieces that could be paired with more conservative wardrobes were pieces including coats, boots and sweaters. Metallic silver and gold leggings worn would be ideal for those willing to venture a little outside of the work place wardrobe.

The most curious items were a pair of tasseled, beige, knit leg warmers and a denim half-vest that began at the waist which was worn with a geometric patterned mini dress.
