Electric Track Vehicles

The Resolve Project is Developing Stable Four-Wheeler Vehicles

The Resolve (Range of Electric Solution L-Category Vehicles) project is an ambitious new initiative, being championed by the European Union, that is aiming to encourage and expand the development of modular electric vehicles. It is hoped that people who normally drive or look to drive cars will see these electric vehicles as a good alternative for urban commuting.

One of the priorities for the project is to create low-cost vehicles, with vehicles also required to feature modular and scalable electric powertrains and battery architectures. It is hoped that by introducing powertrains and battery packs that can be shared by different manufacturers, electric vehicle commuting could be made seriously cheap, which is good news for urban commuters as well as the environment.

The project is manifesting as a collaboration between a number of automotive suppliers and universities from around Western and Eastern Europe, and shows that the impact of automobiles on the environment can be mitigated with cooperation and forward-thinking ideas.
