Visitors to the famed Dutch city of Eindhoven will now be treated to a truly unique site, a plastic pavilion built out of materials garnered from donations of trash, unwanted plastic and other building materials.
Dubbed the People's Pavilion, this particular structure features a wonderfully eye-catching facade that consists of a collage of colorful plastic tiles, most of which were fashioned together from recycled plastic donated by regular Eindhoven residents. The building also features floor glazing made from leftover garbage, while fittings such as light fixtures were loaned or donated.
Ultimately, however, this plastic pavilion's standout feature is surely its facade, which wouldn't have been possible without donations from the people of Eindhoven, hence the fitting name of People's Pavilion.
