3D-Printed Replacement Parts

'happy3D' Helps Consumers Easily Print Broken Appliance Parts

'happy3D' by Boulanger is a service that makes it possible to create replacement parts for common household appliances using additive manufacturing. A few of the parts that can be easily recreated with happy3D include refrigerator feet, vacuum nozzles, oven knobs and even handles.

With this service, customers are able to access the happy3D's database of Essentiel b and Listo brand products in order to find and download a template for replacement part. Since most average households are not yet equipped with 3D printers, this service also helps to connect its users with local 3D printing services.

Gaële Wuilmet, the Director of Boulanger Services & Innovation says: "To slow product obsolescence, customers must be able to repair their own high-tech devices and household appliances." Platforms like this provide a new way for makers and manufacturers to happily co-exist.
