Framework is Crafting a Repairable Chromebook with Google

'Framework,' the company most known for its fully repairable laptops, announced a new partnership with Google whereby the companies will create a repairable Chromebook line. The resulting laptops will run Chrome OS, meaning they will natively support Android apps as well as a number of PC applications. The Framework Chromebook features the same screen size and form factor as Framework's other 13-inch laptops. This means the Chromebook boasts a 13.5-inch, 3:2 aspect ratio, 2,256 x 1,504 resolution display.

Aside from its screen, the Framework Chromebook includes a 1080p, 60fps webcam for top-quality office calls. The laptop also features a manual cutoff for the mic and the camera feed for privacy reasons. In terms of its performance components, the laptop is powered by an Intel i5-1240P mobile processor and 8GB of DDR4 RAM. The laptop features expandable storage, but it comes with a 256gb SSD by default.
