Remote Year Helps People Find Work as They Explore the Globe for a Year

Picking up and leaving is a romantic notion, but it's not often a feasible one; Remote Year hopes to make it happen. A start-up founded by 25-year-old Greg Caplan, who recently left a job at Groupon, Remote Year helps people find the right kind of work that allows them to travel around the world for a year.

Organizing everything from itinerary to lodging and activities, Remote Year gives "100 remote workers an opportunity to travel together to 18 different locations over the course of a year," writes Fast Company. With already 3,000 inquiries from potential applicants and 15 companies interested in hiring workers they may never meet in person, Remote Year appears to be heading in the right direction. Providing the push and drive to take in new cultures and experiences, this is a start-up that will resonate with many.
