For this year's London Design Festival, one designer transformed an old storage room into an "immersive color light installation," titled 'The Reflection Room.'
This dynamic 35-meter long gallery space featured a series of bright lights, ranging from deep blue to electric oranges, highlighting either end of the room, showcasing the gallery's impressive size. The lights created a reflected pattern onto the wooden cupboards which lined the gallery, inviting guests to ponder the precious artifacts which were once held inside. Flynn Talbot, the artist behind this project, claims that The Reflection Room was a site-specific piece, stating that she aimed to use the lights to highlight the room's natural beauty, without overpowering it.
Through the use of light and color, the artist was able to transform a once mundane room into an immersive artistic experience.
