The Red Hazard Device Projects the Path of Moving Trucks

For those who have not quite mastered the necessary distance kept between themselves and turning 18-wheelers, the Red Hazard device could save a life. Shaped like the recognizable warning symbol, this triangular contraption emits a bright beam of light to indicate the trajectory of a large cargo vehicle.

Installed on both sides of a tractor trailer, the road safety lamp casts a radiant red block onto the asphalt that will accurately cover the area crossed by the swinging rear of a rig. With this in place as the truck makes its right or left turn, both pedestrians and motorists will be informed of the cautious separation necessary. Designed by YanTing Chen, Lin Hung-Jung and Chao Shao-Lun, the Red Hazard will reduce avoidable road accidents.
