These Recycled Wood Paintings are Gorgeously Handmade

There are so many ways to use old timber, one of them being Coulson Macleod's beautifully recycled wood paintings. Using reclaimed natural materials from demolished Victorian factories, Macleod transforms something raw and seemingly useless into something decorative and visually intriguing.

His first piece called 'Blow, Blow Thou Winter Wind' is a darker, more rustic look, whereas the second work shown, 'The Cold Caress of Winter’s Heart,' expresses the coldness of winter. Both are composed of milk-white and dark-gray ink on hand-made frames.

Because they are hand crafted, no two pieces are ever identical. The distressed style of the illustrations and typographic words would fit well in a urban loft-style home. It would make a great housewarming gift that is meaningful because it is eco-friendly.
