Spray paint cans are often used for graffiti throughout urban environments, but Canadian mixed-media artist Chris Brett has decided to do something different with them. Instead of throwing them away, he has recycled them into pieces of art.
Combing his love for graffiti, children's books and cartoons, Chris Brett has created a vibrant display of recycled art. On his personal website he says that he has a "slightly goofy and jaded sense of humor," and this is definitely reflected in the images on the spray paint cans.
The images include animals and clowns smoking cigars and carrying bombs that are about to explode. They are both dark and whimsical at the same time, which is what makes the art so interesting.
