Joystick-Controlled Motorbikes

This Recumbent Bike Trades a Handlebar For a Joystick Control

The Joystick Bike is a pretty self-explanatory creation, and a hugely impressive one at that. When you think motorbike, you think handlebar -- but no longer. Rather than sporting a typical handlebar, this bike is equipped with a right-hand joystick that makes riding the bike similar to playing a video game or indeed flying an aircraft. In addition to being a whole lot of fun, the joystick control is also highly precise.

Rather than wrapping their fingers around a handlebar, the rider uses a right-hand joystick. Moving the joystick left and right steers the front wheel via a mechanical connection.

Invented by Swiss national Yvan Forclaz, the Joystick Bike aims to create a more fun and engaging form of biking. This bike is no mere gimmick however; the joystick control system offers a whole new form of connection with the road below.
