Artist Yuuki Morita Creates Realistic Renderings of Pokemon

Japanese artist Yuuki Morita has used 3D animation render three Pokemon into specimens that could potentially be seen as real-life Pokemon. The tremendously popular children's franchise features a variety of creatures that are trained to fight one another on behalf of their owners, called Pokemon trainers.

These images show Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur as realistically rendered monsters. Charizard in articular come off like a dragon from medieval legend, while Blastoise and Venusaur look like giant lizard-like beasts.

These real-life Pokemon designs have a ferocious angel not usually scene in the animated cartoons, movies and games. The designs put a lot of detail into the monsters, giving them menacing fangs, leathery tough-looking skin and thick, massive claws for fighting.
